.Khalil Gibran.1923.
.Then the gates of his heart were flung open, and his joy far over the sea.
And he closed his eyes and prayed in the silences of his soul.
.Who can depart from his aloness without regret ?
Too many fragments of the spirit have i scattered in these streets .
These things he said in words. But much in his heart remained unsaid.
For he himself could not speak his deeper secret.
And ever has it been that love knows not its owndepth until the hour of separation.
When lovesbeckons to you, follow him,Though his ways are hard and steep.
And when his wings enfold you enfold you yield to him,
Though the sword hidden among his pinions may wound you.
And when he speaks to you believe in him.
For even as love crowns you so shall he crucify you.
And then he assigns you to his sacred bread for God´s sacred feast.
All these things shall love do unto you that you may know the secrets
of your heart ,and in that knowledge become a fragment of life´s heart.
Love gives naught but itself and takes naught but from itself.
Love possesses not nor would it be possessed; For love is sufficient unto love.
When you love you should not say,"God is in my heart.I´m in the heart of God".
.To Know the pain of too much tenderness. To be wounded by your own under,
standing of love; And to bleed willing and joyfully. To rest at the noon hour and mediate love´s ecstasy.
And then to sleep with a prayer for the beloved in your heart and a song of praise upon your lips.
And ever it been that love knows not its own depth until the hour of separation.
.When love beckons to you ,follow him ,though his ways are hard and steep.
And when his wings enfold you yield to him,
though the sword among his pinions may wond you.
And when he speaks to you believe in him.
For even as love crowns you so shall he crucify you.
And then he assigns you to his sacred fire, that you may
become sacred bread for God´s sacred feast.
All these things shall love do unto you that you may know
the secrets of your heart, and in that knowledge become a fragment of life´s heart.
.Love gives naught but itself and takes naught but from itself.
Love possesses not nor would it be possessed.
For love is sufficient unto love.
When you love you should not say,"God is in my heart,i´m in the heart of God.
To know the pain of too much tenderness,
to be wounded by your own understanding of love,
and to bleed willing and joyfully.
to rest at the noon hour and mediate love´s ecstasy.
and then to sleep with a prayer for the beloved in your heart
and a song of praise upon your lips.
you give but little when you give of your possessions.
it is when you give of yourself that you truly give.
it is well to give when asked ,but it is better to give unasked,
through understanding;
And he who desearved to drink from the ocean of life deserves to fill his cupe
from your little stream.
For to be overmindful of your debt,is to to doubt his generosity who has the free-hearted earth for mother ,and God for father.
.And when you crush an apple with your teeth, say to it in your heart,
"your seeds shall live in my body,
and the buds of your tomorrow shall blossom in my heart.,
and your fragrance shall be my breth,
and togheter we shall rejoice through]
all the seasons.
your joy is your sorrow unmasked.
and the selfsame from which your
laughter rises was oftentimes filed with
your tears.
when you are sorrowful look again in your heart,
and you shall see in truth
you are weeoing for that which has been delight.
.the mansion of the sky, whose door is the morning mist, and
whose windows are the songs and the sikences of night.
and forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds
long to playwith your hair.
For the master spirit of the earth shall not sleep peacefully
upon the wind till the needs of the least of you are satisfied.
your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding.
say not,"i have found the truth" but rather "i have found a truth."
Say not"i have found the ath of the soul"say rather"i have met the soul walking upon my path."
And knows that yesterday is but today´s memory and tomorrow is today´s dream.
.you are good when you strive to give of yourself.
.Beauty is not a need but an estasy.
.A heart enflamed and a soul enchanted.
.Beauty is life when life unveils her holy face.
.You shall see GOD smiling in flowers .then rising and waving His hands in trees.
.In thge dept of your hopes and desires lies your silent Knoledge of the beynd.
.Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing.
And when you have reached the mountain top .then you shall begin to climb.
.Life, and all that lives is conceived in the mist and not in the cristal.
.A little while,a moment of rest upon the wind ,and another woman shall bear me.
End.
